With actual news being quite sparse at this point in the offseason, I find that the best way to engage with the NFL is through my Twitter feed - where opinionated aggregations can drive irrational fantasy hype, smart football minds can provide prospective from a 50,000 foot offseason view, and humor can help soften disheartening news.
A Messy QB Competition?
The conclusion here that JJ is being a poor sport is probably a little too harsh. But this response is certainly cold. You can’t blame us for sensationalizing at this point in the offseason.
I actually would be surprised if answers like this weren’t trained out of McCarthy by the time training camp begins and there is more media attention and scrutiny on his answers. Everyone expects this to be Kyler’s job to lose. Tension can’t sustain unless McCarthy can radically improve his performance from last season.

The Josh Jacobs Situation:
Josh Jacobs and his attorneys are vehemently denying the disturbing claims that led to him turning himself this week. It appears as though the Packers are waiting on the situation before taking any action as the team has essentially withheld comment. Should Jacobs’ availibility be compromised for the 2026 season, NFL insider Jason La Confora stated that they would “unquestionably” make an addition to their RB room.
But for now, good one Frat Stafford.
