There were tons of shifts in our projections this week - see how they change the ranking for your league in the draft tool!
Every bit of news that has come out about the Josh Jacobs situation this weekend is pretty awful. That needs to be said up front. It seems fairly likely he will be suspended for 4-6 games this season.
This is fairly important news for drafts. MarShawn Lloyd is a much stronger late round pick and will probably have some standalone value.
Other News:
The Browns officially named Deshaun Watson as their starting QB. There isn’t necessarily an outcome in the competition that would’ve improved projections for the offense. His job will probably be at risk for the entire time he remains the starter.
The Patriots traded WR Kayshon Boutte to the Texans for a 7th round pick and a depth safety. Boutte was reportedly going to be an inactive had he remained in New England. He will likely be on the field and running deep routes for Houston, but its hard to see him being fantasy relevant in most leagues as CJ Stroud is not nearly as efficient as a deep passer as Drake Maye.
The Saints signed K Daniel Carlson this week, creating a competition between him, Tanner Brown, and Charlie Smyth.
Giants WR Malik Nabers is expected to be ready for Week 1.
Cardinals RB Trey Benson was waived this week.
Free agent RB Kareem Hunt visited with the Lions on Tuesday. Backup RB Isiah Pacheco has ben dealing with knee and back injuries throughout camp, and they have very little depth behind him.
Giants WR Calvin Austin tore his ACL and will miss the entire 2026 season.
The Browns have released WR Cedric Tillman.
The Packers signed TE Jonnu Smith to a 1-year deal this week.
The Dolphins traded WR Tutu Atwell to the Rams for RB Jarquez Hunter. Atwell had some fantasy relevance with the Rams in previous seasons whenever they had WR injuries.
Raiders HC on Ashton Jeanty this week - “Still on the mend. Still working to get him back. We got another week to assess how he's going to look going into this first game, but we're counting on him."
Bucs HC Todd Bowles is reportedly “hopeful” that Emeka Egbuka (toe) is ready for Week 1.
