Fantasy Analysis for Every Pick in the Top 8

Pick 1: Fernando Mendoza - QB - Raiders

Rating the Fit: 8/10

“As far as landing spots go for 1.01 QBs, Mendoza could do a lot worse than the Raiders. They spent aggressively on C Tyler Linderbaum to improve their protection, hired Super Bowl winning OC Klint Kubiak as the Head Coach, and already have explosive weapons like Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty in the offense.”

- Patrick

Rating the Fit 👔: 2/10

You’re going to the Raiders and there’s no black? Unacceptable.

Pick 2: David Bailey - EDGE - Jets

Rating the Fit: Defense/10

He’s unlikely to transform the Jets defense from any kind of fantasy perspective.

Rating the Fit 👔: 6/10

Straight tuxedo and Ray Bans. No nonsense look. Pretty good.

Pick 3: Jeremiyah Love - RB - Cardinals

Rating the Fit: 6/10

“After being taken 3rd overall, Love finds himself leading the Arizona backfield. He finds himself in an RB room containing James Conner, Trey Benson, and Tyler Allgeier. While crowded, Love is the best back in this room, and it's not close. He will be taken in the first 3 rounds of redraft leagues, as well as first overall in Dynasty Rookie drafts.”

- Samps

Rating the Fit 👔: 9/10

SHINING. I don’t know what the chain was but he was rocking it.

Pick 4: Carnell Tate - WR - Titans

Rating the Fit: 10/10

*This was my dream fit for Carnell Tate.

For fantasy reasons alone, we’d advise the Titans to select Carnell Tate over Jeremiyah Love. Tate is the newest Ohio State WR to be a projected first rounder and is widely regarded as the best route runner in this class. He produced in college, despite playing behind other stars, and will be ready to produce in a big role. The WR void for the Titans is MASSIVE right now. Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike had decent rookie seasons, but Tate could enter this offense and immediately become the go-to guy for Cam Ward.”

- Patrick

“One of the top WRs in the class finds himself bolstering the Tennessee WR room. This pick was surprising, but if you read this guide before the draft, you would've known that Tate was my (Samps) favorite WR in the class.”

- Samps

Rating the Fit 👔: 7/10

Great color for him. The cropped jacket is a bit much.

Pick 5: Arvell Reese - LB - Giants

Rating the Fit: Defense/10

“This mean’s Kayvon is going to be gone right?…

…never mind. I guess we will figure it out.”

- Samps

Rating the Fit 👔: 8/10

Diamond dog tags, yes.

Pick 6: Mansoor Delane - CB - Chiefs *traded up

Rating the Fit: Defense/10

The Chiefs jump the commanders in a trade to get their Trent McDuffie replacement.

We identified Delane to go in the top-10 as a favorite prop at -120 earlier this week.

Rating the Fit 👔: 7/10

Great color, great chains. +1 for DB swagger.

Pick 7: Sonny Styles - LB - Commanders

Rating the Fit: Defense/10

If I were a Commanders fan, I’d buy the jersey.

Rating the Fit 👔: 6/10

Cool bowtie but a little underwhelming for a guy named Sonny Styles. (S/O his family)

Pick 8: Jordyn Tyson - WR - Saints

Rating the Fit: 8/10

Tyson was the 2nd WR taken off the board, heading to the Saints 8th overall. He enters a weak WR room, adding a versatile skill set for Kellen Moore's offense. Assuming he stays healthy, he's going to benefit this entire offense, as well as Tyler Shough's development. His ADP is going to be a fascinating one to watch, but he's going to be taken super early in dynasty rookie drafts.”

- Samps

Rating the Fit 👔: 4/10

Super boring but he needs to stay safe out there with all those injury risks.
