🏈 Week 9 Fantasy Mega-Preview: Halloween Edition 🎃👻🦹♂️
Week 9 is ALIVE!! This article will provide insights into key start/sit decisions, situations to watch, and, this week, instead of DFS and my favorite upset, we will be comparing NFL players to Horror movie characters, based on their fantasy football performances. OOooooOOOooo!
The NBA Season is officially under way, and the World Series is in the thick of it! Find the most valuable bets in the WalterPicks prop evaluator!
Start 'Em Up: Week 9 Starts and Sleepers

Quarterbacks
Start: Daniel Jones (vs. Steelers) has one of the best matchups possible this week. He is going to rank as a top three option at quarterback, and the Steelers allow the second most fantasy points to QBs. Start him with the utmost confidence.
Start: Kyler Murray (vs. Cowboys) has some inherent risk, mainly due to how bad he has been. But you know who has been worse? The Cowboys defense. If you need a QB, Kyler has a great ceiling in Week 9.
Sleeper: Sam Darnold (vs. Commanders) has been excellent this season, and if you are in desperate need of a floor option with some ceiling cooked in, consider Sam Darnold.
Running Backs

Start: Kimani Vidal (vs. Titans) is coming off an excellent outing, and he is a must start this week against Tennessee. He will see a full workload, and is expected to see multiple goal line opportunities.
Start: Chase Brown (vs. Bears) has had a couple of excellent games in a row, and he remains a good option against the Bears. Even if Jake Browning plays, Brown is someone to start in Week 9.
Sleeper: Kareem Hunt (vs. Bills) is facing an Ed Oliver-less Bills defense and Isiah Pacheco is expected to miss this game. Hunt is a solid start.
Wide Receivers
Start: Michael Pittman Jr. (vs. Steelers) is in an absolutely fantastic spot against Pittsburgh. The Steelers allow tons of points to opposing WRs and MPJ has been productive all season.
Start: Marvin Harrison (vs. Cowboys) is in a spot he can take advantage of with Dallas. The Cowboys cannot stop a runny nose. Maserati Marv is someone to consider very strongly this week on Monday Night Football.
Sleeper: Travis Hunter (vs. Raiders) has a great matchup with Vegas this week, and the Jaguars continue to talk about how much they want Hunter’s role to continue growing. Consider starting the Jags’ rookie this week.
Tight Ends
Start: Kyle Pitts (vs. Patriots) is in a surprisingly good matchup with New England this week. They are weak against opposing tight end fantasy points, and Pitts is quietly putting together his best season since his rookie year.
Sleeper: Jonnu Smith (vs. Colts) is a sneaky option against the Colts. Indy is not great against TEs or WRs, and there is also a chance Pat Freiermuth misses this game.
Things to Watch Closely for Fantasy in Week 9

Comparing NFL Players to Horror Characters

The following comparisons may be utterly horrifying… for one reason or another. Share this list with your friends… OR ELSE.

Jonathan Taylor - Prime Michael Myers
Jonathan Taylor dominates every single week. He attacks whoever opposes him with unrelenting ferocity, all while showing his adversaries absolutely ZERO mercy. Remind you of anyone?
It is crucial to distinguish that Taylor is like Michael Myers in his heyday, not the oddly weak one who transferred his power… telepathically? to Corey Cunningham in Halloween Ends.
Every single time you think you got rid of Haddonfield’s quietest young man… he kept coming back… even stronger, just like the Colts’ lynchpin. JT is averaging 27.1 PPR points per game. The definition of ruthless. He has been an unwavering monster wreaking havoc on whoever has the unfortunate fate of facing him in their fantasy matchup.
Both Myers and Taylor often wear a dark shade of blue as well, so they have that going for them as well.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Comparison - Art the Clown
Hear me out on this. JSN has showcased utter dominance in almost every setting he has found himself in this season. At this point, you know exactly what you are going to get from him, and you know you can always count on the Seahawks wide receiver to do what you drafted him to do: embarrass and destroy his opponents. Sounds a lot like Art the Clown if you ask me.
Not much is really known of Art the Clown, but what is known is that he can not and will not go away… by whatever means necessary. This clown had his head taken off and he still came back stronger than ever. I would equate JSN dealing with Shane Waldron to Art having his head slashed off. Both had their struggles, and nobody really knew if they could bounce back from such terrifying circumstances. But… they did. Man oh man they did!

Jerry Jeudy - The Headless Horseman
Let’s compare these two. One is a ghost, virtually invisible except for very rare occasions, and he continues to haunt us as every year goes on as if it is something he loves to do. He is okay when it comes to an occasionally exciting experience, but it feels like it only happens once a year. The second one is the Headless Horseman. Oh wait…

Daniel Jones - Dewey Riley
Both of these men left a lot to be desired for a very long time. Both used to seem very easily distracted, lacking focus, and easily rattled.
After years of hardship, facing many mental and physical tests, trying to solve problems while wondering if maybe, perhaps, they were the problem, these two now command respect.
Indiana Jones captains his team, willing to sacrifice it all with the hopes of achieving his ultimate goal, while Dewey did the same. Except, in Dewey’s case, he sacrificed everything. RIP to the best police officer in horror history (close second is Detective Tapp).
