Recent Trade Wins from the WalterPicks App šŸš€

Every week, the Transactions Tool in the WalterPicks app populates with recommended adds, drops, and trades that you should be considering to improve your fantasy teams. All recommendations come from our transactions team and are powered by Walter’s projections, carrying out thousands of simulations of the rest of the season.

Week 7: Last week’s list featured buying low on Michael Pittman Jr. and selling Kenneth Walker III. Pittman had his best fantasy game of the season (20.8 PPR fantasy points), and Walker finished below 10 PPR fantasy points for the third straight game.

Week 6: We recommended buying low on Tetairoa McMillan. He went on to score a season-high 17.9 PPR fantasy points against the Cowboys. Although he didn’t do much against Sauce Gardner last week, better days are likely ahead for the young rookie.

Week 5: We encouraged fantasy managers to see what it would take to acquire Rashee Rice. In his first game off the suspended list, he scored 23.2 PPR fantasy points on just 41% of snaps. At this moment he is top ranked WR for the rest of the season.

Buy Low/Sell High Fantasy Football

Buy Low: WR Rome Odunze

Chicago Bears WR Rome Odunze’s fantasy value is certainly trending down. He has caught just two passes in each of the past two games and has finished outside the top-60 at the WR position in back-to-back weeks. However, Odunze is a player you should be trading for right now.

He still ranks top-15 among all WRs in snap share (91.9%), target share (24.9%), receiving air yards per game (101.5), and receiving air yards percentage per game (40%). With some favorable matchups upcoming against the Ravens, Bengals, and Giants over the next three weeks, we suggest buying low on Odunze while his value is this low.

In our rest of the season rankings, the Bears playmaker (WR15) is ranked higher than WRs like A.J. Brown (WR17), Tee Higgins (WR20), and Ladd McConkey (WR22).

Sell High: WR Chris Olave

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave is coming off his best game of the season. He caught five passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns en route to a WR5 PPR fantasy finish. That strong fantasy performance could give managers some confidence in him moving forward.

Nevertheless, now might be the best time to sell the Saints playmaker in most formats. Touchdowns have not been Olave’s strong suit in his NFL career, as his two touchdowns on Sunday marked just his 12th and 13th touchdowns of his four-year career.

Additionally, the quarterback play of Spencer Rattler doesn’t necessarily give him a high fantasy ceiling each week. The 25-year-old has just a 62% catch rate, which ranks 62nd among all WRs through seven weeks.

So, see what you can get for him. If you can get a WR like Nico Collins or AJ Brown in return, that would be a major win.

Buy Low: WR Deebo Samuel

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel has been battling through a heel injury in recent weeks. That heel injury resulted in Samuel missing his first game of the season last week against the Dallas Cowboys. But that missed game gives us enough of a buy-low window to acquire him.

Samuel has been fantastic for fantasy managers when he’s on the field. He has finished as a top-20 WR in four of his six games, and his 5.7 receptions per game rank 11th among all WRs to begin the year. With Terry McLaurin’s status up in the air, the veteran playmaker should continue to operate as the team’s WR1.

Even when McLaurin was healthy in the first few weeks, Samuel appeared to be the preferred target in this Washington offense. Given his 27.2% target share and 2.1 yards per route run, he is the perfect buy-low target at this point. The 29-year-old is ranked as the WR28 on our rest-of-season rankings.

Using the WalterPicks Trade Analyzer

Each week, we will look at some recent trades that went down in Yahoo! leagues and use the WalterPicks trade analyzer to see if these trades were fair. This section is a way for you to see where players might be valued in the app.

Trade 1:

Team 1 Receives: WR Michael Pittman Jr.

Team 2 Receives: TE Harold Fannin Jr.

Ruiling: This trade appears to favor Team 1. Pittman has been a reliable WR2 option for most of the year, and Harold Fannin Jr. has been an inconsistent TE1 play. This is a massive win for Team 1.

Trade 2:

Team 1 Receives: WR Amon-Ra St. Brown

Team 2 Receives: WR Courtland Sutton + RB De’Von Achane

Ruling: This trade appears to be a win for Team 2. While Team 1 does receive the best player in the deal (Amon-Ra St. Brown), Team 2 gets a WR1 in Courtland Sutton and a dominant RB1 in De’Von Achane. This was a slight overpay from Team 1.

Trade 3:

Team 1 Receives: RB Travis Etienne Jr.

Team 2 Receives: WR Stefon Diggs

Ruling: This could be considered an even trade for both sides. Team 1 gets a solid RB2 (Travis Etienne Jr.) for the rest of the season, while Team 2 acquires a reliable WR2 (Stefon Diggs). However, WalterPicks likes the Diggs’ side a bit more.
