Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Week 14 Sleepers and Fades

We're focusing on the borderline players who could make or break your Week 14 lineup. The must-start players like CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jahmyr Gibbs should continue to be in all lineups.
So, let’s look at some fringe players in this game and decide whether they should be in fantasy lineups or not in Week 14.
START: QB Dak Prescott
Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is definitely on a heater in fantasy right now. He has scored over 21 fantasy points in three straight games and has thrown for over 300 yards and at least two touchdowns in back-to-back weeks.
Detroit has given up the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing QBs while allowing the second-most passing touchdowns. Considering this secondary has allowed a top-2 fantasy QB finish in consecutive games, there aren’t many QBs that are better starts than Prescott in Week 14.

Walter's Rank: QB2
START: WR Jameson Williams
With Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) currently questionable for this game, Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams could be in for a monster fantasy performance in Week 14. Williams totaled seven catches for 144 yards and one touchdown on Thanksgiving without St. Brown for most of that contest.
As a result, he is a must-start WR1 if St. Brown misses. Even if the All-Pro WR plays, Williams should still be started in most fantasy formats. The Cowboys have allowed the most fantasy points, the most receiving touchdowns, and the third-most receiving yards per game to opposing WRs this year.
Walter's Rank: WR3
SIT: RB Javonte Williams
Dallas Cowboys RB Javonte Williams will still be a lower-end RB1 this week. However, expectations should be tempered for Williams in this matchup against the Detroit Lions. That’s because no defense has allowed fewer fantasy points to the RB position than the Lions through 13 weeks.
It might not be a bad option to pivot away from Williams if you have a better RB/flex option this week. Only one RB (Tyrone Tracy Jr.) has scored above 12 PPR fantasy points against this defense since Week 5, and Detroit has let up just one rushing touchdown over its last eight games.
Walter's Rank: RB12
SIT: RB David Montgomery
Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery has been an inconsistent fantasy option this season. He has finished outside the top-28 at the RB position in five of the last seven weeks and is only averaging 10.8 PPR fantasy points per game this year. So, Montgomery is better left on the bench this week.
He has seen under 10 carries in three straight contests, and his rush share has hovered around 26% in those three games. Given that the Cowboys have also been a better run defense since acquiring Quinnen Williams at the trade deadline, Montgomery will be more of an RB3 this week.
Walter’s Rank: RB32

Prop: Jared Goff OVER 255.5 Passing Yards (+105 on BetMGM)

Line Shopping in the WalterPicks app
Reasoning: Jared Goff has gone over this line in four of the past five games, which included a 256-yard passing effort last week against the Green Bay Packers. He is averaging over 260 pass yards across his six home games this season, and the Cowboys are allowing the most pass yards per game (269.5) in the NFL.
With a 6.6% EV Edge at BetMGM, Walter believes this is a bet worth taking on Thursday night. Goff is projected for 279.4 passing yards in our Player Prop Evaluator.
