Start 'Em Up: Week 14 Starts and Sleepers

Quarterbacks
Start: Daniel Jones (vs. Jaguars) is facing Jacksonville, a team ranked 23rd against opposing QB fantasy points. The Jags have allowed eight QBs to score 18.7 or more fantasy points. Jones was not as hindered as many expected he would be in Week 13, and now he can be started with confidence in matchups where fantasy players need to win heading into the playoffs.
Start: Joe Burrow (vs. Bills) is expected to be either in a competive spot, or playing from behind. The Bills are second best at preventing opposing QB fantasy points, but it’s worth noting that Buffalo has only faced four top-tier QBs all season, two of them scoring 17 or more fantasy points. Fire up Joe Burrow as someone with a safe floor and high ceiling.
Sleeper: Tyler Shough (vs. Buccaneers) is going against a Bucs team that has allowed four QBs in a row to score 19 or more fantasy points. Shough has had six or more rushing attempts in each of his last two games, and he has played fairly well. He’s scored 18 or more fantasy points in two of his last three games, and he is going to be playing from behind in this spot. He’s likely the most desperate of plays, but there’s a path to success, hence the sleeper designation.
Running Backs

Start: Chase Brown (vs. Bills) is an obvious must start, but he has top five potential this week against Buffalo. They have allowed four RBs to score 29 PPR points this season, and Brown is certainly capable or replicating that sort of performance in an incredibly important matchup. Start him with immense confidence.
Start: Omarion Hampton (vs. Eagles) is back! The Eagles are not as daunting a matchup as some may realize. They have allowed eight running backs to score 19 or more PPR points this season, including two last week. If the Chargers say Hampton is good to go, play him.
Sleeper: Zach Charbonnet (vs. Falcons) is facing the Atlanta run funnel. The Seahawks should see lots of red zone opportunities, and Charb has been the Seattle goal line back. He can be started with a modicum of confidence as someone we anticipate falling into the end zone.
Wide Receivers

Start: Jakobi Meyers (vs. Colts) has looked great over the last two weeks, and he is going to be called upon in a crucial matchup with Indy. The Colts are 25th against opposing WR fantasy points, and Meyers’ role continues to grow as the weeks progress. Play Meyers with high expectations.
Start: Chris Olave (vs. Buccaneers) is a reliable option this week in a matchup where he is likely to be playing from behind. Olave is at a point where we are playing him, regardless of matchup or game script. Luckily for us, Olave has a decent matchup with the Bucs’ secondary.
Sleeper: Adonai Mitchell (vs. Dolphins) saw 12 targets in Week 13, and he could be turning into the top pass-catcher for the Jets before our very eyes. Banking on similar production as last week is a bit irresponsible, but if he records even half of his previous stat line, fantasy players should be excited and happy they played him in their lineups.
Tight Ends
Start: Brenton Strange (vs. Colts) is clearly someone Trevor Lawrence depends on. And in a matchup where the Jaguars might struggle to run the ball, Strange is in line for a sizable workload. If he gets into the endzone again, you are going to be very happy with that performance at the tight end position.
Sleeper: Zach Ertz (vs. Vikings) is in a decent spot against the Vikings. He has a safe floor, as well as an intriguing ceiling if he can score a touchdown. Play Ertz if you need a high floor tight end.

DFS Favorites

These are some of the players Walter recommends prioritizing in your FanDuel and DraftKings lineups.
QB: Daniel Jones, FD price: $7,500 DK Price: $6,200, is an intriguing QB option in smaller contests. He offers a safe floor, as well as a high quality ceiling in his matchup with the Jaguars, a team that is susceptible to opposing QB success.
RB: RJ Harvey, FD Price: $6,500 DK Price: $5,700, is a touchdown machine. He is taking on the Raiders this week, and it feels incredibly likely that he scores another touchdown. He is a well-priced DFS option at running back.
WR: Devaughn Vele, FD Price: $5,500 DK Price: $3,700, has seen 15 targets over the last two weeks, and now he is in a matchup where he is likely to be playing from behind. He is a budget option that could help someone take down a lineup this week, should he score a touchdown or two.
TE: Tyler Warren, FD Price: $6,300 DK Price: $5,000, has been one of the best tight ends in football this season, and he is taking on the 31st ranked Jaguars this week. Consider Warren one of the top studs at the position.
My Favorite Upset Pick of Week 14

Bears to cover the 6.5 point spread against the Packers
Odds: -105
Spread: GB -6.5
Reasoning: The Bears have, perhaps, the best rushing attack in the entire NFL. If they can pick up where the left off against the Eagles, the Bears have an excellent chance of covering this spread in a vital matchup with Green Bay. It is also worth noting that the Bears are getting healthier defensively, and in the cold weather, the entire scheme for the Bears is benefited by this. Let’s go Bears!
