Thanks to the emergence of Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the Hawks have clinched their division and are 20-5 in their last 25 games. NAW is averaging 22 points per game over that span and has an excellent chance of winning the Most Improved Player award. Did you know that he’s cousins with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander?
Sneakily, they have one of the most complete rosters in the NBA and several of the top defensive players. They’re top-10 in defensive rating as a team, and are capable of creating issues for any team they face.
As of now, they’re the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference and would take on the Cavaliers in the 1st round. They’re one of the hottest teams in the NBA, and have Alexander-Walker, Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels, CJ McCollum, Onyeka Okongwu, and Jonathan Kuminga.
All those guys taking on playoff James Harden? Don’t let me get too confident 😈
