🏈 Trade Report - Top Targets for the Fantasy Playoffs

This is the fantasy football trade report looking ahead to the fantasy football playoffs. We look at some of the best buys and sells for the fantasy playoffs.

Recent Trade Wins from the WalterPicks App 🚀

Every week, the Transactions Tool in the WalterPicks app populates with recommended adds, drops, and trades that you should be considering to improve your fantasy teams. All recommendations come from our transactions team and are powered by Walter’s projections, carrying out thousands of simulations of the rest of the season.

Week 9: Last week’s list identified both Breece Hall and J.K. Dobbins as sell-highs. Hall did not get traded at Tuesday’s Trade Deadline — which hurts his rest of season value — and Dobbins scored just 6.9 PPR fantasy points last week.

Week 8: The Week 8 list recommended buying low on Rome Odunze. He then went on to catch seven passes for 114 yards en route to a WR8 PPR fantasy finish. While he had zero fantasy points last week, better days are ahead in an improved Chicago offense.

Week 7: We had both Michael Pittman Jr. and Derrick Henry as buy-low options this week. Pittman has had three straight strong fantasy performances, and Henry has returned to RB1 status.

Week 6: We recommended buying low on Tetairoa McMillan. He went on to score a season-high 17.9 PPR fantasy points against the Cowboys in Week 6 and then totaled seven catches for 99 yards in Week 9. We project him to remain a viable WR2 option.

Buy: Daniel Jones

It might be tough to trade for Daniel Jones right now, considering he ranks as the QB9 in terms of fantasy points per game (20.4). However, trading some pieces to acquire a stud QB1 who has a fantastic playoff schedule is a move fantasy managers should be looking to make.

Although Jones has a tougher matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15, he will play the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17. San Francisco has allowed a top-12 fantasy QB finish in four of the past five weeks, and Jacksonville has given up the third-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this year.

Sell: Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold is playing at an elite level right now. He has finished as a top-10 fantasy QB in three of the past four games, and the Seahawks just added Rashid Shaheed at Tuesday’s Trade Deadline. With all of the excitement in Seattle, you could get a solid return for a QB who is balling out right now.

That makes now the best time to trade him, especially if you are looking ahead to the fantasy playoffs. Darnold has the fourth-hardest fantasy playoff schedule among all QBs, with matchups against the Colts (Week 15), Rams (Week 16), and Panthers (Week 17). Those three defenses rank top 15 in fantasy points allowed to QBs in 2025.

Buy: Bucky Irving

Bucky Irving’s return timeline is still murky at the moment. But if you are a team that is guaranteed to make the playoffs, it might not be a bad idea to trade for the Buccaneers’ RB. His fantasy value will never be lower, and he has a top-3 fantasy playoff schedule among all RBs.

Bucky Irving’s Playoff Schedule

Irving will play the Falcons in Week 15, the Panthers in Week 16, and the Dolphins in Week 17. Atlanta has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to RBs this year, Carolina has allowed a top-4 fantasy RB finish in back-to-back weeks, and Miami has been awful at stopping the run this year.

Buy: Rhamondre Stevenson

Although reports said the Patriots could look to add an RB at this year’s Trade Deadline, they ultimately didn’t make a move for that position. That’s fantastic news for Rhamondre Stevenson’s fantasy value the rest of the season.

While we don’t know the extent of his toe issue, it isn’t expected to be a long-term injury. With a top-6 fantasy playoff schedule, Stevenson is a nice RB2 target at this point in the season. Stevenson will play the Bills in Week 15, the Ravens in Week 16, and the Jets in Week 17 — all three of those defenses rank bottom 12 in terms of fantasy points allowed to RBs.

Sell: J.K. Dobbins

Dobbins was listed as a sell-high in last week’s article, and we are encouraging fantasy managers to trade him away at all costs. He continues to split work with RJ Harvey out of the backfield, and his playoff schedule is the hardest among all RBs.

Dobbins will play the Packers in Week 15, the Jaguars in Week 16, and the Chiefs in Week 17. Green Bay has given up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs, Jacksonville has allowed only three RBs to finish inside the top-24 at the RB position since Week 2, and Kansas City has let up just one 100-yard rusher this year.

Buy: Justin Jefferson

Based on name value alone, it won’t be easy to trade for Justin Jefferson. However, see what you can give up to acquire one of the best WRs in football. Even though he hasn’t finished as a top-12 fantasy WR since Week 5, he is poised for a few dominant performances in the fantasy playoffs.

Jefferson will play the Cowboys in Week 15, the Giants in Week 16, and the Lions in Week 17. All three of those defenses rank bottom 10 in terms of fantasy points allowed to WRs. Jordan Addison is also a sneaky buy if you aren’t able to land Jefferson in any trade.

Sell: Marvin Harrison Jr.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is coming off his best game of the season. He caught seven passes for 96 yards and one touchdown against the Cowboys last week. That strong fantasy day gives fantasy managers the perfect sell window heading into Week 10.

One of the biggest reasons to sell Harrison is due to his tough playoff schedule. He will be shadowed by Derek Stingley Jr. in Week 15 and then A.J. Terrell in Week 16. Both of those defenses also rank top-7 in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing WRs.

Buy: Tyler Warren

Tyler Warren has not only been one of the best fantasy TEs this year, but he also has one of the best fantasy playoff schedules at the position. Warren will play the Seahawks in Week 15, the 49ers in Week 16, and the Jaguars in Week 17.

The Seahawks and Jaguars both rank bottom-7 in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing TEs, and the 49ers have allowed their share of big fantasy games to TEs this year. San Francisco has let seven different TEs score at least 10 PPR fantasy points through nine weeks.

Sell: Dallas Goedert

Dallas Goedert has been a reliable TE1 option through the first half of the fantasy season. His 14.4 PPR fantasy points per game rank as the TE4, and Goedert has finished as a top-12 fantasy TE in four of the past six contests.

However, his difficult playoff schedule makes him a sell at this point in the year. Goedert will play the Raiders in Week 15, the Commanders in Week 16, and the Bills in the fantasy football championship in Week 17. Las Vegas has allowed just one TE to finish top-14 at the position this year, and Buffalo has been the second-best defense against opposing TEs.
