🏈 Top 3 Most Underrated Best Ball Stacks

These overlooked player combinations have TONS of value right now in best ball drafts!

Utilizing player stacks is a massively important strategy in best ball. It limits the number of things you need to be correct about to put up massive scores. The key to best ball success is identifying correlated plays before the market catches on.

Here are three stacks we like that are flying under the radar:

1. Brock Purdy / George Kittle

George Kittle led all tight ends in fantasy points per game last season, yet he is getting drafted a full two rounds later than Brock Bowers and Trey McBride on Underdog right now. With Deebo Samuel no longer on the team and Brandon Aiyuk returning from injury and unlikely to be ready by Week 1, there is a real path for Kittle to see the largest target share of his career.

Brock Purdy is getting drafted as QB12 in the ninth round despite finishing top-8 in passing yards per game in each of the last two seasons. The former Mr. Irrelevant continues to be undervalued by the fantasy community, creating a perfect stack opportunity with his favorite red zone target.

2. Caleb Williams / Luther Burden

Luther Burden is a first round rookie wide receiver talent that the Bears snagged in early second round of the draft. There are some volume concerns with DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and Colston Loveland competing for targets, but that competition is already factored into his current WR50 cost.

The real reason to love this stack is the “Adam Gase” effect that will be in full force for Caleb Williams this season. Williams is transitioning from one of the worst coaching situations in the league last year to one of the best this year. Ben Johnson’s previous QB Jaren Goff finished as the QB8 in points per game last season.

Williams represents tremendous value at his current draft position (QB10 on Underdog), and pairing him with a talented rookie receiver creates an exciting correlation play with massive upside potential.

3. Drake Maye / TreVeyon Henderson

Drake Maye is the ideal late round quarterback this season, offering starting upside at minimal cost (see our explanation for this below). Stacking him with rookie TreVeyon Henderson creates an incredible correlation opportunity.

Henderson is the clear best receiving back on a Patriots team that lacks elite receiving weapons. With Josh McDaniels returning as Patriots offensive coordinator, history suggests significant opportunity for pass-catching running backs.

James White target shares his final three healthy seasons under McDaniels:

  • 2020: 18.1%

  • 2019: 17.4%

  • 2018: 22.2%

Last season, only three running backs posted target shares over 15 percent: Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey, and Devon Achane. Henderson could join that elite group this season, making him a sneaky high-upside stack partner with Maye.
