Thursday Night Football Preview

Spread: BUF -11.5
Total: 49.5
Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Week 1 Sleepers and Fades

We're focusing on the borderline players who could make or break your Week 3 lineup. The obvious stars like Josh Allen, James Cook, and De’Von Achane are automatic starts.
So, let’s look at some fringe players and decide whether they should be in fantasy lineups or not in Week 3.
Start: WR Keon Coleman
Buffalo Bills WR Keon Coleman didn’t do much last week, as he caught just three passes for 26 yards. Since Allen only completed 14 passes in Week 2, it made sense that Coleman had a subpar fantasy day. However, the second-year WR could be in for a bounce-back performance this week.
Coleman has commanded a solid 20% target share through two games, establishing himself as a legitimate piece in Buffalo's passing attack. This week presents an ideal opportunity against a Miami secondary that's been picked apart early in the season. The Dolphins allowed Michael Pittman Jr. to torch them for 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, signaling clear vulnerabilities.
The Verdict: Coleman offers WR3/flex upside in 12+ team leagues with a favorable matchup.
WalterPicks Ranking: WR40 in PPR formats
Start: TE Dalton Kincaid
While far from a must-start option, Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid presents sneaky value in deeper formats. The second-year tight end has quietly been productive, hauling in four catches in consecutive games while posting an impressive 1.8 yards per route run (TE9).
Miami's defense has been generous to opposing tight ends, surrendering the 10th-most fantasy points to the position through two weeks (12 catches for 143 yards allowed). For fantasy managers in 16+ team leagues or those desperate at the position, Kincaid offers a reasonable floor with upside.
The Verdict: A viable streaming option in deeper leagues with legitimate touchdown potential.
WalterPicks Ranking: TE19 in PPR formats
Sit: WR Jaylen Waddle
Jaylen Waddle is officially questionable for Thursday’s game against the Bills. Even if Waddle clears his questionable designation, he remains a risky play across all formats. His concerning 17.5% target share reflects a diminished role in Miami's offense, while Buffalo's perimeter coverage has been suffocating.
The Bills have neutralized outside receivers consistently: holding Ravens duo Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins to just four catches for 45 yards in Week 1, then limiting Jets star WR Garrett Wilson to four catches for 50 yards. Waddle's track record against Buffalo is equally troubling — under 10 PPR points in three straight meetings.
The Verdict: Bench Waddle and find alternatives with better matchups and target shares.
WalterPicks Ranking: WR44 in PPR formats

WR Rankings in the WalterPicks app
Sit: QB Tua Tagovailoa
Despite posting a respectable 19.6 fantasy points against New England, Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa faces a daunting Thursday night challenge. Buffalo's defense stifled Justin Fields last week and has historically given the Dolphins' signal-caller fits.
The numbers don't lie: Tagovailoa has averaged just 12.5 fantasy points across his last five games against Buffalo. Even in Superflex or two-QB formats, there are likely better options available on the waiver wire.
The Verdict: Stream another quarterback if possible, as this matchup has bust potential written all over it.

Things to Watch Closely For Fantasy:
Buffalo's WR hierarchy: Will Coleman, Joshua Palmer, or Khalil Shakir emerge as the clear WR1?
Tyreek Hill's reliability: After early-season inconsistency, can Hill return to elite form?
Kincaid's ceiling: Is the young tight end ready to break out as a weekly starter?

Prop: Keon Coleman OVER 3.5 receptions (+127 on Hard Rock)

Line Shopping in the WalterPicks app
Reasoning: Coleman has gone over this line in one of two games this season. Although Buffalo is a big-time favorite in this contest, the Bills playmaker has a fantastic matchup on the outside. Both Pittman and Stefon Diggs caught at least four passes against Miami’s secondary in the first two weeks.
With a 10.1% EV Edge, Walter believes this is a bet worth taking on Thursday night. He is projected for 3.9 receptions on the WalterPicks app.
