Max Meyer OVER 5.5 Pitching Strikeouts (-250 on ESPN Bet)

Explanation

It has been a few rough starts for Miami Marlins starting pitcher Max Meyer. But we should expect a better all-around outing from him in Monday’s matchup against the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies average the second-most strikeouts per game and are averaging 10 strikeouts as a team on the road this season. 

That should help Meyer get back on track. Although he went over this line just once in May, his stuff should play well in this matchup. Both his whiff rate (27.8%) and strikeout rate (24.2%) rank in the top half of the league. This is a nice matchup for the right-hander at home against the worst offense. 

Walter also has a major +EV value of 3.0% (expected value compared to other books) for this prop on ESPN Bet. Most other books have this line set at 6.5, so act fast before it changes.

• Walter’s edge value is 4.3%

• Angels will be throwing out Tyler Anderson, who owns a solid 3.39 ERA.

• Both offenses have struggled as of late. Los Angeles hasn’t scored above five runs since May 23. Boston hasn’t scored above five runs since May 24.
