During this period, NFL teams can contact the representatives of unrestricted free agents - and begin negotiating contracts.

In many cases, we’ll learn where many key free agents are going to sign. It’s like free agency before free agency actually begins. Our opinions on NFL teams in 2026 officially begins taking shape.

3/11/26: Free Agency Begins
What’s Free Agency?
Free agency is where players with expired contracts can begin negotiating with potential new suitors. This is different than the Legal Tampering Window because players can be part of the active negotiations and take visits with teams once Free Agency begins.
What We’ll Learn
We’ll learn where players are going to be for the foreseeable future. On top of that, we’ll get a sense of how teams feel about their current roster based on their moves. Free agency is huge for fantasy football.

3/15/26: Selection Sunday
What’s Selection Sunday?
Selection Sunday takes place the Sunday prior to March Madness beginning. On that Sunday, the NCAA announces all the teams in the tournament, as well as their respective seeds, quadrants, and matchups.
What We’ll Learn
We’ll learn what college basketball powerhouses will have the best pathways to the championship, as well as which “Cinderella” teams are most likely to go on a run.

It’s self explanatory, but this is the day the MLB’s regular season begins.

It’s tough to glean much from one day of games. But, we’ll begin learning how managers feel about their younger players based on where they are in the lineup, as well as who comes out of the bullpen.

4/14/26: NBA Playoffs Begin
What’s the Play-In Tournament?
The Play-In Tournament is what kicks off the NBA Playoffs. It’s contested between the 7 through 10 seeds in each conference to determine who the 7th and 8th seeds will be in the playoffs.

This tournament will show us which teams will be facing the top seeds in each conference.

This weekend is the busiest for fantasy football drafts because it’s the weekend prior to the NFL season beginning. It’s also a long weekend of fun!
