Jonathon Brooks
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks has been one of the biggest risers over the last few weeks. Beat writers reported that Brooks looked “twitchy” in training camp, and the latest injury to Chuba Hubbard (hamstring) opens up the door for the young RB to have a solidified role right away.
Brooks played all but two snaps with the starters in the Panthers' most recent preseason game against the Jaguars. He ran five times for 18 yards and one touchdown in that contest. Given Hubbard’s struggles on the ground last season, Brooks could eventually overtake him for that RB1 role.
De’Zhaun Stribling
There wasn’t much fantasy appeal for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling early in training camp. Then it was announced that Ricky Pearsall will be out for the season, and Christian Kirk could miss the start of the year due to a calf injury. Stribling is now one of the biggest fantasy risers.
He has been impressive throughout training camp and has caught 11 passes for 109 yards through two preseason games. It’s looking increasingly likely that the second-round rookie will have a role in Year 1.
Parker Washington
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington was Trevor Lawrence’s favorite target down the stretch last season. Washington averaged 15.6 PPR fantasy points with a 23% target share from Week 9 onward (excluding the one game in Week 13 in which he left early).
That connection between Lawrence and Washington has continued to grow into the offseason. Washington is stepping up as Jacksonville’s WR1, and there is definitely some upside here with the Jaguars playmaker. Washington’s ceiling at WalterPicks is the WR7.

Fallers 📉
Jordyn Tyson
New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson entered training camp with the WR2 job locked up. He showed some good things early in camp before sustaining a hamstring strain in a joint practice a few weeks ago.
Tyson is now expected to miss around two months with that hamstring strain. That means the former Arizona State playmaker will be out through at least Week 5. Hamstring injuries are nothing new for him, as he missed multiple weeks with a hamstring strain in his final college season. He is an obvious faller.
Giants RBs
This Giants running back room is a mess right now. Cam Skattebo is coming off a gruesome ankle injury and recently started a fight with teammates in practice. Tyrone Tracy Jr. whiffed on a block in the first preseason game and then fumbled in the team’s second preseason contest. Devin Singletary has seen some work with the second-offense, and the Giants just recently signed Najee Harris.
While one of these RBs will ultimately be cut before the season, this could be a three-headed backfield this year. That’s why this whole Giants RB room is trending down right now, especially Tracy.
