Quarterback

Geno Smith

Best Fantasy Fit: New York Jets

Hear me out - Nobody is looking to start Geno Smith in fantasy football. However, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall are going to be drafted in the middle rounds of fantasy football drafts. Among the available free agents with playoff experience, Geno Smith is the most likely to be willing to go to the Jets - while also providing some consistency to an offense that’ll be playing from behind frequently.

Malik Willis

Best Fantasy Fit: Arizona Cardinals

In two starts last season, Willis went 0-2, but showed some serious flashes of greatness. He combined for over 400 yards passing, two passing touchdowns, zero interceptions, over 104 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns.

In a world where he reaches his ceiling, imagine how good Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride could be. Willis would open up the Arizona offense, while pairing with his former head coach’s brother, Mike LaFleur. Unlike Geno Smith, Malik Willis would provide a massive weekly fantasy ceiling with his rushing ability and stellar weapons.

Kyler Murray

Best Fantasy Fit: Minnesota Vikings

Kyler Murray only played 5 games last season, and he wasn’t anything special in those games. But with top-5 QB finishes under his belt, we know how electric he can be at his best.

If Minnesota brings Murray in, it’s very likely that he would win the pre-season QB competition with J.J. McCarthy. In that scenario, Murray would have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson at his disposal. If Murray can return to form, this would be a fantasy gold mine.

Other Notable Free Agent QB: Joe Flacco, Aaron Rodgers, Tyrod Taylor, and Russell Wilson

Running Back

Kenneth Walker

Best Fantasy Fit: Kansas City Chiefs

After winning Super Bowl MVP, it appears very likely that K9 ends up elsewhere in 2026. As of now, the Chiefs are the frontrunners to land the biggest name on the market - and it would be the ideal fantasy fit.

Walker would have minimal competition on a Chiefs offense that’s begging for a revamp. KC is a team that will be in scoring position frequently, and would be a fantastic fantasy scenario for the former Michigan State man.

Travis Etienne Jr.

Best Fantasy Fit: Denver Broncos

The odds of Etienne returning to Jacksonville appear slim - and heading to Denver is going to provide him with an elite weekly ceiling.

R.J. Harvey is still going to factor in, but it’s obvious that Sean Payton doesn’t trust him to carry a full workload. Rumors have been swirling that Denver is going to take a big swing on an RB.

Rico Dowdle

Best Fantasy Fit: Washington Commanders

Dowdle showcased some insane ceiling throughout 2025 recording 130 or more rushing yards on three occasions.

Entering him into a Commanders offense with a healthy Jayden Daniels would be excellent for fantasy football. Bill Croskey-Merritt will continue seeing some touches, but Washington would be bringing Dowdle in to be the primary guy.

Tyler Allgeier

Best Fantasy Fit: New Orleans Saints

Allgeier heading to the Saints makes a ton of sense, and would be awesome for fantasy football. His skill set meshes with Alvin Kamara’s very well. It’s reasonable to expect Allgeier to see more carries than Kamara if this were to come to fruition.

Kellen Moore knows how to call a rushing offense, and Tyler Shough can absolutely take a step forward in year two. Adding Allgeier would benefit all fantasy options, himself included.

Other Notable Free Agent RB: Isiah Pacheco, Kenneth Gainwell, Rachaad White, JK Dobbins, Joe Mixon, Nick Chubb, Najee Harris, Austin Ekeler, Keaton Mitchell, and Chris Rodriguez Jr.

Wide Receiver

Wan’Dale Robinson

Best Fantasy Fit: Tennessee Titans

While this one is extremely likely, it’s also the best case scenario for both Robinson and the Titans. Offensive Coordinator, Brian Daboll, has always lead offenses that are heavily reliant on slot receivers. Additionally, Robinson just had the best season of his career while Daboll was calling plays for a majority of the season.

He’ll be a much-needed weapon for Cam Ward and the Titans, and he is going to be a very intriguing option in 2026 fantasy drafts.

Mike Evans

Best Fantasy Fit: New England Patriots

With the departure of Stefon Diggs, the Patriots are in desperate need of a WR1. They could certainly draft one, but bringing in a veteran presence like Mike Evans would be a massive benefit for this entire offense. On top of that, Evans would have less competition for targets in New England than perhaps anywhere else.

Evans’ ADP would be one of the most fascinating topics of the fantasy football season if he signed with the Pats.

Deebo Samuel

Best Fantasy Fit: San Fransisco 49ers

A return to San Fran would be the best case scenario for Samuel. Jauan Jennings is likely going elsewhere, and the Niners are not bringing Brandon Aiyuk back.

For six seasons, we saw what Samuel is capable of in the Kyle Shanahan offense, scoring 40 total touchdowns. His safest bet to become a fantasy contributor again is with his former squad.

Jauan Jennings

Best Fantasy Fit: New York Giants

Jauan Jennings fits exactly what this new iteration of the Giants want to accomplish. He has experience winning games, but he’s also an elite run blocker. Couple those skills with the fact that the Giants have no reliable WRs behind Malik Nabers (who just tore his ACL), and Jennings has a great chance of garnering a sizable weekly target share with an up-and-coming QB.

Romeo Doubs

Best Fantasy Fit: Raiders

The Raiders provide Romeo Doubs with his best opportunity to be a fantasy football WR1. Whether Vegas rolls out a veteran or decides to start Fernando Mendoza immediately, someone like Romeo Doubs would instantly improve this offense, especially with Klint Kubiak calling plays.

Alec Pierce

Best Fantasy Fit: Patriots

Pierce is being regarded as one of the top free agents this offseason, and the Patriots make so much sense. I’ve already made Mike Evans a fit for them, but they have the capital necessary to pull off signing both of these weapons.

Stacking up great players for Drake Maye is a recipe for lots of fantasy football success in Foxborough.

Other Notable Free Agent WRs: Christian Kirk, Marquise Brown, Tyreek Hill, Rashid Shaheed, Keenan Allen, Jalen Nailor, and Calvin Austin

Tight End

David Njoku

Best Fantasy Fit: Philadelphia Eagles

Dallas Goedert is headed elsewhere, and David Njoku would be an excellent addition in Philly. He’s a good blocker, and has a nose for the end zone. His ideal fantasy football fit is becoming Jalen Hurts’ go-to target in the red zone.

Dallas Goedert

Best Fantasy Fit: Kansas City Chiefs

Goedert coming in to replace Travis Kelce makes a lot of sense. He has experience in complex offenses, and is good at finding holes in the defenses - just like Kelce. If the former Eagle were to go to KC, his ADP would certainly kick up.

Isaiah Likely

Best Fantasy Fit: Miami Dolphins

Miami’s QB is a question mark, but Likely would instantly become the 1B to Jaylen Waddle’s 1A on that offense. Of all the teams looking for TE help, the Dolphins provide Likely with a better opportunity to see a substantial target share than just about anywhere else.

Other Free Agent TEs: Travis Kelce, Jonnu Smith, Cade Otton, and Jake Tonges
