Landing spot is massive factor in projecting fantasy football projection for rookies. These are ideal landing spots for every position group. Whoever goes to these teams could see their rookie rankings rise post-draft! 

QUARTERBACK OUTLOOK

Top Landing Spots:

1. STEELERS

2. GIANTS

3. BROWNS

The Steelers have the strongest front office/coaching infrastructure amongst QB needy teams and should have an improved WR room this season with DK Metcalf. The Giants have an underrated WR room and solid O-line (when healthy). Both them and the Browns have offensive minded head coaches who have gotten good fantasy production out of limited QBs in the past.

Quick Notes:

• Only three teams where a rookie QB could start Week 1: Steelers, Titans, and Browns

• Cam Ward possibly the only rookie starter this season

• Other teams in need of QB: Saints, Rams, Raiders, Colts, Jets, Seahawks

RUNNING BACK OUTLOOK

Teams Needing RB1:

1. RAIDERS

2. BRONCOS

3. BEARS

4. COWBOYS

5. "MAYBE" TEAMS - Giants, Steelers, Browns

The Raiders have the thinnest RB room in the league highlighted by Sincere McCormick and Raheem Mostert. The Pete Carroll/Geno Smith foundation should be a solid spring board for any rookie RB. The Broncos have a good offensive line and a clear path to volume. Both the Bears and Cowboys have a need for a lead back. And all of the “maybe teams” have running backs that are unlikely to be able to handle full season workloads.

Low-Key Good Spots:

• PATRIOTS

• CHIEFS

• CHARGERS

Both the Chiefs and Chargers have clear needs for a pass catching back. And the return of Josh McDaniels to NE could potentially call for someone to fill the James White role.

Special Note:

• Ashton Jeanty will be projected to perform well regardless of landing spot.

WIDE RECEIVER OUTLOOK

Most Exciting Destinations:

3. PANTHERS

4. PATRIOTS

5. BILLS

Other Teams Needing WR Help:

Browns, Jets, Raiders, Cowboys, Cardinals, Packers, Titans

The Bills and Chargers will have clear opportunities for rookie WRs with elite QB situations. The Broncos and Panthers are developing offenses with offensive minded head coaches which will be expected to draft guys that are clear scheme fits. And New England has tons of potential with one of the thinnest WR rooms in the league, a promising QB, and the return of Josh McDaniels.

TIGHT END OUTLOOK

Top Destinations:

1. JAGUARS

2. CHARGERS

3. JETS

4. PANTHERS

5. SEAHAWKS

All 5 of these teams have a pretty glaring need at TE. If any of them make a selection with a high pick we could see high volume for them right away.

Also Noteworthy:

• COLTS: High need but risky fantasy situation with Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones at QB
