3 Best Ball Targets π
The reasons why you should be doing Best Ball drafts + 3 early values that Walter absolutely loves!

Reasons You Should Play Best Ball
π§ The drafts are SHARP. You will never be more prepared for your season-long drafts than after an offseason of Best Ball drafts.
βΎοΈ There is no roster management required. You won't get overwhelmed having a high number of teams.
π° The prizes for big tournaments are huge. One great draft can lead to you winning BIG.
π Drafting is fun. Best Ball allows you to participate in meaningful drafts throughout the entire offseason, and tap into different market inefficiencies that disappear as the season approaches.
3 Players to Target Today

Players Walter has ranked higher than consensus
1. George Kittle (TE - 49ers)
George Kittle belongs in the same tier as Brock Bowers and Trey McBride but you can currently get him 20+ picks later.
Kittle was in fact the TE1 last season and had 8 weeks of scoring 15+ PPR points. He has the top-3 weekly ceiling you want to target in Best Ball TEs and enters 2025 with very few threats to his workload (Deebo traded, Aiyuk returning from major injury).
While Bowers and McBride are younger and ascending, Kittle has arguably just as much upside. At 31 years old, the threat of a sudden decline should not be pushing him this far down draft boards.
2. Kaleb Johnson (RB - Steelers)
Arthur Smith offenses the past 3 seasons:
2025: 6th in rush att / game (Steelers)
2024: 4th in rush att / game (Atlanta)
2023: 2nd in rush att / game (Atlanta)
We have no reason to expect that any QB option the Steelers have by September will be impactful enough to take this tendency off-course.
We also project Kaleb Johnson to be the lead back over Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell. He is also a pass-catcher! Johnson is exactly the kind of player you want to be targeting in Best Ball drafts and is a no-brainer in the 6th round.
3. Dak Prescott (QB - Cowboys)
The Pickens acquisition raises the ceiling for Dak Prescott significantly. Dak is one of the most accurate QBs in the league at throwing boundary receivers 15+ yards downfield - a role that Pickens excels in. The presence of Pickens also allows the Cowboys to put CeeDee Lamb in the slot more often - like in the 2023 season when Lamb finished as the fantasy WR1 and Dak finished as the QB4.
Dak absolutely has a good chance to throw for the 4,000+ yards and 25+ TDs you would want out of a Best Ball QB. He is a tremendous value right now in the 9th round of drafts.
